IT Support in Johannesburg
On-site repairs, networking and installations across Johannesburg and the northern suburbs — for homes, home offices and businesses.
IT support for a city that is spread out
Johannesburg is not one place. A client in the CBD, an office park in Midrand and a home office in Randburg have very little in common, and the work we do in each is different. We come to you, which matters here — travelling across the city with a desktop tower is rarely practical. We diagnose the fault, quote the fix before we start, and handle supplier warranty claims on your behalf.
Where we work in Johannesburg
The city is geographically wide, and the premises differ sharply by area.
The CBD and southern suburbs
Older commercial buildings, often with network points added over years by different people. We frequently find cabling that no longer matches the labels on the patch panel, which is why a network that "should" work does not.
Northern suburbs and office parks
Randburg, Fourways, Midrand and Rivonia — mostly smaller offices and mixed commercial space. Fibre is usually available, so the bottleneck is internal: too few access points for the headcount, or a switch that quietly became the limit.
Industrial and warehouse areas
Edenvale, Bedfordview, Kempton Park and Boksburg. Machines, scanners and shop-floor devices that need to stay connected through dust, vibration and power interruptions — and backup power that covers the till or the access control, not just a desk.
Homes and home offices
A significant share of Johannesburg call-outs are residential. One person working from home with a laptop, a monitor and unreliable WiFi is a smaller job than most providers are set up for — we do those too.
What actually breaks in Johannesburg
Most Johannesburg faults follow a recognisable pattern.
A network that grew rather than got designed
Switches daisy-chained over several years, access points added when a desk complained, and no record of what connects to what. Adding more equipment usually makes this worse. The fix is documenting what exists, then simplifying it.
Machines that fail at the worst moment
Older workstations that still "work" until a critical week. We check the components most likely to fail — drives, power supplies, thermals — and tell you honestly whether a machine is worth repairing or replacing.
Load shedding hitting equipment, not just lights
Servers, network gear and point-of-sale equipment that goes down hard with the power. A hard shutdown repeatedly over months is a common cause of corruption and premature hardware failure. We size backup power around the equipment that actually matters.
Distributed teams with no secure way in
Head office in Johannesburg, staff working from home. Shared drives and internal systems need to be reachable without being open to the internet. We set up remote access properly, controlled per person.
What It Costs
The same rates apply everywhere we work — there is no city surcharge and no travel fee.
The part that matters:If you approve the repair, the diagnosis time is credited toward the job — you don't pay twice.

Describe what is actually happening — not what you think is broken. We will tell you if it sounds like something remote can fix.
Diagnose and quote
We find the cause and give you a price before any work starts. No open-ended hourly meter without your approval.
Fix, test, explain
The work is done and tested before we leave, and we explain what went wrong so it does not surprise you twice.
Computer Support
PC and laptop repair, diagnostics and custom builds — dropped off or done on site.
Network Support
Office WiFi, switching and structured cabling designed around the space.
Business IT Setup
Moving office or starting a new site — the network, workstations and printing set up properly.
Business IT Support
Month-to-month support for businesses that do not need a full-time IT department.
Johannesburg Questions
Do you come out to Johannesburg, or do I bring equipment in?
Either. Most Johannesburg call-outs are on-site — it is usually the right option for network problems, desktop machines and anything where the environment is part of the fault. Bench work is available if you would rather drop something off.
How quickly can someone get to me?
Urgent issues in Johannesburg and Sandton can usually be attended the same day. Standard on-site visits are next business day. Remote support is typically within 4 hours — for software and network issues it often resolves the problem without a visit at all.
Do you charge extra for travelling across the city?
No. The call-out covers the first hour on site at R750, then R450 an hour. We will agree the scope and the quote before work begins so there are no surprises on the invoice.
Is there parking or access I need to arrange?
For office parks and CBD buildings, let us know about access control, visitor procedures and parking when you book. It is a small thing that regularly turns a one-hour visit into a two-hour one.
Can you work in industrial areas like Kempton Park or Boksburg?
Yes. Shop-floor and warehouse environments need different equipment choices from an office — sealed or fanless hardware, cabling that survives its environment, and backup power sized for the equipment that cannot stop.
Do you support businesses, homes, or both?
Both. A large share of our Johannesburg work is residential or single-person home offices, and the same on-site service covers small businesses, offices and industrial premises.
