Embroidery needs a stitch file, not a logo image
This is the part that catches most people out. An embroidery machine doesn't read a JPG, a PDF or a screenshot of your logo. It reads a digitised file — a file that describes the direction, order and length of every stitch. Digitising is the separate step that turns your artwork into those stitch instructions.
If you already have your own digitised file, send it with your enquiry and tell us the item and the size it needs to be stitched at. A file digitised for a cap can't simply be scaled up onto the back of a jacket — the stitch density and detail have to be redone — so the item and the finished size matter as much as the file itself.
If you don't have one, that's not a problem: say so in your enquiry and we'll tell you what's needed and whether your design carries a setup cost before you commit to anything.
What to send
A vector file — PDF, SVG, AI or EPS. Vector artwork can be scaled to any size without going soft or blocky.
A high-resolution image (PNG or JPG) at roughly 300 dpi at the size it will print. Photos are usually fine for mugs, tiles and photo stickers; the bigger the print, the more resolution matters.
Your digitised stitch file (.DST, .PES, .EXP, .JEF and similar). If you don't have one, send the artwork and we'll confirm what's required.
We check every file before production and tell you if it won't print or stitch cleanly — rather than producing something we know will disappoint you.
Small runs, odd requests and one-off items
This is not the bulk uniform side of the business — that's corporate apparel and branded merchandise, which run in the hundreds. This is the work in between: one mug for a birthday, six caps for a small team, a sticker sheet for a market stall, a replacement decal for a shop window.
Because we produce it in-house, we can take on the order sizes a factory won't look at. And if a job is genuinely better suited to a different method or a different printer, we'll say so instead of taking it and delivering something second-rate.
Personal gifts
A photo mug, a framed print, a sticker for a child's laptop — one-off items are welcome.
Small business runs

Personalised Printing Questions
Can I order just one item?
Yes. A single mug, one printed sticker or one embroidered cap is a normal order for us. Larger runs are quoted per item, so it is worth telling us roughly how many you might need.
What file do I need to send for embroidery?
A digitised stitch file — formats like .DST, .PES, .EXP or .JEF. An embroidered logo is not printed from an image; it is stitched from a file that describes where every stitch goes, so a JPG or PDF is not enough on its own.
I already have my own digitised embroidery file. Can you use it?
Yes. Send it with your enquiry and tell us the item and the size it needs to be stitched at. If it was digitised for a different item or size, we will tell you whether it can be used as is or needs adjusting first.
I do not have a digitised file. What happens then?
Tell us the design and the item it is going on. We will confirm what is needed and whether there is a setup cost for your specific design before you commit to anything.
How long will my order take?
It depends on the item, the quantity and the finish, so we confirm the lead time with your quote rather than guessing here. If you have a date you need it by, say so in your enquiry and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable.
Do you deliver, or do I collect?
Both. Finished orders are couriered anywhere in South Africa, and collection can be arranged if you are in Gauteng. It is confirmed with your quote.
Can you handle bulk or corporate orders?
Yes. That is the corporate side of what we do — uniforms, workwear and larger promotional runs are handled on our corporate apparel and branded merchandise pages.
