Current Connections
Electrical contractors with 40+ years behind them and a website that did not reflect it. We delivered the whole brand: a new identity, the website, their Google presence, staff branding and the seven documents behind the project.
Every item below came out of the same engagement. That is why the site, the signage and the staff apparel look like they came from one business, because they did.
What we delivered
-
Logo & visual identity
A new mark worked through several rounds and saved as five separate files: an early draft, the wordmark that went live, a redesign pass, a revision and the final export.
Five logo files in the delivered project folder, named from "Logo (3)" through to "LOGOFINAL".
-
A 25-page website
Seven service pages, four project write-ups, two technical insight articles, an areas page covering 41 suburbs, plus about, contact and FAQ, built mobile-first and fast to load.
25 URLs in the live sitemap at currentconnections.co.za, with sitemap.xml, rss.xml and robots.txt in place.
-
Google presence
Their Google Business Profile connected to the site, so the business shows up in local searches and the reviews keep building on their own.
Reviews pulled automatically from their profile by scripts/fetch_google_reviews.py into google-reviews.json.
-
Staff branding & uniforms
The identity carried onto the people who do the work: named team profiles on the site, photographed for the project, with branded apparel behind them.
Five named team portraits plus a full-team photograph shot for the project.
-
Partner branding
Their supplier and partner logos, laid out so the trust that comes with those names reads on the page.
Five partner brand marks in the homepage trust bar: AIKO, EeNovance, IES, Sieg Energy and Sungrow.
-
Project photography
Real installations, real sites: the 21 kWp solar job, a farm installation and residential work, photographed and worked into the project pages.
Four project pages live, each with its own photography from the actual installations.
-
The documents behind the build
The working paperwork from the project: discovery, growth assessment, audit, proposal, meeting strategy, roadmap and follow-up.
Seven documents from the actual engagement, handed over at the end.
Five files, one identity
A logo is not the first idea someone has. These are the actual files from the project folder, exactly as they were saved: the draft, the wordmark that went live on the site, a redesign, a revision and the final export.
An early exploration. The filename alone shows at least three passes before this one was saved.
This is the version on the live site today. It is the file behind logo.png and the favicon.
A redesign round, saved as its own file next to the earlier versions.
A revised mark. The trailing underscore shows it was saved over an earlier file of the same name.
The final export, used for the client’s email templates and digital assets.
The site itself
Captured from the live site. Every page here is running at currentconnections.co.za.
Five stages, documented
- 01
Discovery
What the business sells, who buys it, and which jobs are worth more, documented before anything is designed.
- 02
Audit
Where the existing presence loses enquiries: structure, content, speed and local search.
- 03
Structure
Pages mapped to services and industries, so a visitor lands on the page that answers their question.
- 04
Build
Mobile-first build with the new identity applied, reviewed while it is being built, before it is finished.
- 05
Handover
The site, the identity files and the working documents: handed over, not held hostage.
What the client keeps
The paperwork from the actual engagement. These were handed over at the end, and they are the client's documents, not our templates.
- Discovery workbook
- Business growth assessment
- Digital audit
- Project proposal
- Meeting strategy
- Implementation roadmap
- Follow-up sequence
Current Connections holds a 5.0-star rating from 6 Google reviews at the time of writing. That rating belongs to them, built on their own work, and it now sits on a website that reflects it.

What do you get to see before you commit to a project?
A working website with real pages, real content and your services, on a private link we send you. Not a mockup or a slide. You click it, use it on your phone, and decide with the thing in front of you instead of a description of it.
How long does a website build take?
It depends on how much content we already have. We give you a realistic turnaround once we have your brief. A brochure site and a twenty-page service catalogue are not the same job.
Do you own the logo and the website at the end?
Yes. The identity files, the site and the source code are handed over to you. This is your business asset, not something you license back from us.
What if you do not like the demo?
Then tell us what is wrong with it and we revise. If it still is not right for your business, you walk away. You have not paid for a finished build, and you can keep the ideas either way.
Do you have to take the whole package: logo, website and uniforms?
No. Most clients start with one piece. Because the same team handles the identity, the website, the apparel and the Google profile, the parts match when you add them, which is usually the expensive problem when three different suppliers each deliver their own version of your brand.
Is this only for businesses in Johannesburg?
No. Current Connections is Johannesburg-based, and we do in-person sessions in Gauteng, but the build process runs remotely: calls, reviews and handover all work online. We deliver across South Africa.
What did the Current Connections project include?
Seven workstreams in one engagement: a new logo and visual identity worked through five saved design files, a 25-page website covering seven services, four project write-ups and 41 service suburbs, their Google Business Profile connected to the site, branded staff apparel, partner branding, and project photography from the actual installations.
What gets handed over at the end of a project?
The site, the identity files, the source code and the seven working documents from the engagement: the discovery workbook, business growth assessment, digital audit, project proposal, meeting strategy, implementation roadmap and follow-up sequence. Nothing is held back to keep you paying.
We build you a working website first.
Most quotes ask you to picture the result from a description and a price. We would rather you clicked it. Send us a short brief and we will build a real, working website for your business your name, your services, on your own private link, and email it to you to look at before you commit to anything.
Not a mockup. Not a screenshot of a mockup. A working site you can open on your laptop and again on your phone, which is where most of your customers will see it.
- 01
You send us the brief
Business name, what you do, and what you would like to see. Two minutes, no commitment, no payment.
- 02
We build a real site
We build an actual working website for your business: real pages with your services on them, not a picture of one.
- 03
We email you a private link
You get a link to your own demo. Open it on a laptop and on your phone. Nobody else sees it while you decide.
- 04
You decide
Happy with it, and the demo becomes your live site. Not happy, and you tell us what to change, or walk away.
Request your demo
Two minutes. No payment, no commitment, no obligation to continue afterwards.
